Southwestern Minnesota Adult Mental Health Consortium (SMAMHC) is pleased to announce a funding opportunity for the 2026 grant unspent dollars a total of $217, 608 to be focused on filling critical service gaps and supporting innovative projects that strengthen mental health services across our region. This opportunity reflects our commitment to responsive, community‑centered solutions that meet the needs of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI).
Purpose of the Funding
This funding is intended to support projects that:
- Address identified gaps in regional mental health services
- Pilot new or creative approaches that improve access, coordination, or outcomes
- Enhance continuity of care for individuals served through SMAMHC-funded programs
- Build collaborative partnerships or cross‑agency solutions
Eligibility & Priority Areas
SMAMHC will prioritize proposals that demonstrate:
- Be a certified mental health provider in good standing
- Carry current liability insurance and meet all SMAMHC contractual coverage requirements
- Demonstrate clear alignment with regional needs or data
- Show feasible implementation within the 2026 funding year
- Include measurable outcomes or evaluation plans
- Identify sustainability beyond initial funding (when applicable)
- Highlight collaboration with other providers or community partners
Eligible applicants include all SMAMHC‑contracted providers and regional partners serving SPMI populations.
