Southwest Health and Human Services currently has an opening for a Collections Officer in our Redwood Falls, Marshall or Luverne office location.
Southwest Health and Human Services (SWHHS) is a multi-county agency committed to strengthening individuals, families and communities by providing quality services in a respectful, caring and cost-effective manner.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform all duties related to collections within most agency programs. Some examples of duties include: to process and monitor customer receivables and collections on the County Collection system (CCS); work together with Accounting Technicians receipting and inputting charges onto the collections system and initiate, maintain and close Medical Assistance estate claims.
Minimum Qualifications for This Position:
- High school diploma, or the equivalent, and two years of experience in collections work in a loan company, bank or credit union, or as an investigator for an insurance company or law enforcement agency; or three years of clerical or account clerk experience in work involving billing or accounts receivable.

- Two years of college with coursework emphasis in accounting, business or closely related fields.

Starting Rate of Pay: $20.43 - $34.82 hourly *based on direct county experience
