Southwest Health and Human Services currently has an opening for a Children’s Welfare Social Worker. This position is open in our Marshall office, but would consider Redwood Falls also.
Southwest Health and Human Services (SWHHS) is a multi-county agency committed to strengthening individuals, families and communities by providing quality services in a respectful, caring and cost-effective manner.
The purpose of this position is to manage intakes/cases in Lyon County (some Redwood County). Cases cover adolescents from ages 12-17 with issues like truancy, runaway, family conflict, school issues, drugs/alcohol issues, behavior issues, sex offenses and probation/criminal cases.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in social work, psychology, sociology or closely related field.
or
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university with a major in any field and one year of experience as a social worker in a public or private social services agency.
