Foods, Pools, and Lodging Program

Southwest Health and Human Services is delegated by the Minnesota Department of Health to license and inspect food, pools and lodging establishments in Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock Counties.

Food establishments licensed by Southwest Health and Human Services are required to employ a Certified Food Protection Manager. To become a Certified Food Protection Manager, you must pass an approved food safety exam and submit an application to the Minnesota Department of Health. Certified Food Protection Manager application information can be found on the MDH website.

Serving food to the public at special events such as fairs or city celebrations requires a license.

Southwest Health and Human Services is delegated by the Minnesota Department of Health to license and inspect manufactured home parks and recreational camping areas in Lincoln, Lyon Murray, Pipestone, Redwood, and Rock Counties.
