Is your child developing on track? Babies and young children grow and learn at their own rate. However, some children may need help to grow up healthy and learn skills such as sitting, walking, or talking. Minnesota's Follow Along Program can help you track your child's development and let you know if your child is playing, talking, growing, moving, and behaving like other children the same age.

- A simple way to ask questions about how your child is hearing, moving, seeing, playing, learning, growing, and acting.
- This program follows children aged birth through 36 months by having parents fill out questionnaires about their child.
The program has no cost and there are no income eligibility requirements. It is open to every child in the community.
You may have signed up in the hospital after having your baby but if not you can enroll online by selecting the link above.
- A health care professional will meet with you (in person or on the phone) to explain more about the program and gather information about your child.
- As your child reaches different ages (approximately every 4-6 months until they are 3 years old), you will receive a questionnaire that asks you how your child is growing, playing, talking, moving, and acting.
- You will need to mail the questionnaire back to the agency.
- You will receive information on fun activities for you to do with your child and other age appropriate items as available.
- The results of the questionnaires will be shared with you. If there are concerns, a health professional will talk with you and give you information so you can make choices about further evaluations or services.
- After your child is 36 months old, you will receive information about an Early Childhood Screening.
